Early Spring birding tour in Hungary
" I invite you to discover the natural heritage and
cultural history of the region "
When the early spring arrives, nature slowly wakes up after the long winter. In Hungary, March is a special time for birdwatchers, because wintering birds are still present, and the first migrants are already returning. You can often see geese and ducks in big flocks, together with White-tailed Eagles, Imperial Eagles, and other raptors. At the same time, Skylarks, Woodlarks, and Lapwings start to sing again in the fields.
Days become longer and the weather is milder compared to winter, making birdwatching even more enjoyable. This period offers a great mix of winter and spring bird species. We may still find Lesser White-fronted Goose, Greater White-fronted Goose, or Red-breasted Goose, and also enjoy the first signs of spring migration. Some mountain species, like the Wallcreaper and Alpine Accentor, can also be observed during this time.
Join for a wonderful early spring birding adventure with Wings of Hungary!
